Thanks for dropping in. I have just sent off to the Printers my book No 101, July 30 1966, Football’s Longest Day. It’s the ultimate ‘I was there …’ football book and will I hope make you feel you were there with me on the greatest day in English football history. It is the perfect Father’s Day gift (or Granddad’s!) and signed, cut-priced, post-free copies are now available here: http://www.normangillerbooks.com/july-30-1966/4591562026 More details below.
I had the privilege of spending the entire day (and much of the celebrating night) with the England team, and have with the help of many eyewitnesses written an hour by hour record of the astonishing England World Cup victory over West Germany. I was the only reporter to get into the England dressing-room after the final whistle, and there are lots of personal glimpses of what went on.
Please believe me when I say I hate touting for sales like this, but it is the way the modern author has to work or be swallowed up by the Amazons of this world. The writing is the easy part 🙂 Your support would be greatly appreciated.
You can pre-order a signed copy of my self-published book post-free, cut-priced and in time for Father’s Day (June 19) here:
The following is just one of the scores of anecdotes from a book that gives an intimate, informative and often amusing insight into that greatest of all days in English football history:
Thanks for listening, (and, I hope) ordering.
